Fort Lee is a borough in New Jersey, United States, located within Bergen County on the banks of the Hudson River. It was incorporated on March 29, 1904. The borough is bordered by Cliffside Park to the south, Edgewater to the southeast, Englewood Cliffs and Englewood to the north, Leonia and Palisades Park to the west, and Ridgefield to the southwest. Fort Lee is one of the places with the largest Korean population outside of Korea. Fort Lee was also a location for many early films, including All on Account of the Milk (1910), The Awakening (1917), and As Man Made Her (1917). The Barrymore Film Center, established in October 2022, is a non-profit film history museum featuring a 260-seat cinema.
Fort Lee is a transportation hub served by many major highways, including Interstate 95, Routes 4, 5, and 67, U.S. Routes 9W, 1/9, and 46, and County Route 505. The George Washington Bridge across the Hudson River connects the borough to New York City, New York. Also known as the GW, it was the world's longest suspension bridge between 1931 and 1937. It is also the busiest motor vehicle bridge in the world. Fort Lee was used as a filming location in Goodfellas (1990) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The borough has many tourist attractions, such as Fort Lee Historic Park, Constitution Park, IPIC Theaters, Barrymore Film Center, Ross Dock Picnic Area, and Fort Lee Museum.
