Princeton, New Jersey: Filming Location of A Beautiful Mind

Princeton is a borough in New Jersey, United States, located within Mercer County on Carnegie Lake. It is best known for being home to Princeton University, a member of the Ivy League. Founded as the College of New Jersey in 1746, it is one of the best research universities in the world as well as one of the oldest in the United States. The campus is home to many historic buildings and attractions, including Princeton University Chapel, Princeton University Art Museum, Roger S. Berlind Theatre, Maclean House, Nassau Hall, Richardson Auditorium, Blair Arch, Princeton Summer Theater, and McCarter Theatre Center.

The city was incorporated on January 1, 2013. The area was originally inhabited by the Lenape before the Europeans came in the 17th century. Princeton is bordered by Hopewell to the northwest, Lawrence to the south and southwest, West Windsor and Plainsboro to the east, South Brunswick to the northeast, and Montgomery to the north. Princeton Train Station, U.S. Route 206 and Route 27 serve the area. The city has numerous points of interest, such as Princeton Battle Monument, Morven Museum & Garden, Drumthwacket Foundation, Princeton Battlefield State Park, Greenway Meadows Park, Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve, and Charles H. Rogers Wildlife Refuge.

Princeton was used as a filming location for A Beautiful Mind, a 2001 film about the mathematician John Nash. The film won 4 Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and The Happening were also filmed in Princeton.
