Georgia, the USA

Georgia is one of the southern states of the USA, located in the Atlantic region of the country. Georgia shares borders with North Carolina and Tennessee to the north, Florida to the south, Alabama to the west, and South Carolina to the east. The eastern border of the state is also formed by the Atlantic coastline, which is approximately 100 miles long. The total area of the state is slightly below 60,000 square miles, and the average elevation of Georgia is about 600 feet, with the highest point being Mount Enotah, also known as Brasstown Bald, with an elevation of 4,785 feet.

The city of Atlanta, located in the northern part of the state, is the capital of Georgia. Other large cities include Savannah, Columbus, Augusta, Macon, Warner Robins, Athens, Rome, Sandy Springs, and others. There are many natural wonders and landmarks throughout the state. The eastern border is outlined by the Savannah River, which features several large reservoirs, such as those near Sadlers Creek State Park and near Augusta. The river meets the Atlantic Ocean at the city of Savannah.

Georgia is home to many natural parks and forests, mainly in its northern part. These include Chattahoochee National Forest, Johns Mountain Wildlife Management Area, Dawson Forest – City of Atlanta Tract, Scull Shoals Experimental Forest, Oconee National Forest, Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge, and others. The state has the second-fastest-growing economy in the USA after Texas and is a key industrial and cultural center, often referred to as the "Empire State of the South."
