It hosts soccer, high school and college football, hockey games, concerts, and various events. The stadium was opened as City Stadium on September 29, 1957, and renamed on August 3, 1965, in memory of Earl Louis “Curly” Lambeau, a professional football player and coach. The stadium has a seating capacity of over 81 thousand people. It features a museum, Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame & Museum, and offers stadium tours. It has a gastropub and a fan shop, as well. Lambeau Field is the oldest stadium originally built for the NFL as well as one of the largest.
