State Farm Stadium, formerly known as Cardinals Stadium and University of Phoenix Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium with a retractable roof and a seating capacity of 63,400. It is located at 1 Cardinals Dr, Glendale, Arizona, United States. The stadium opened on August 1, 2006, and was designed by Eisenman Architects in collaboration with Populous. It has been the home of the Arizona Cardinals (NFL) since 2006 and has hosted the Fiesta Bowl (NCAA) since 2007.
Over the years, State Farm Stadium has hosted numerous major sporting events, including Super Bowl XLII, Super Bowl LVII, the 2007 and 2011 BCS National Championship Games, the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship, the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup, WrestleMania XXVI, and the 2024 Copa América. In addition to sports, the stadium has welcomed many famous artists and bands such as The Rolling Stones, U2, Taylor Swift, Metallica, and Beyoncé.
State Farm Stadium is accessible via State Route 101. It is located about 14 miles northwest of Phoenix, just south of the Westgate Entertainment District and Desert Diamond Arena.
