Wallace Wade Stadium, formerly known as Duke Stadium (1929–1967), is a stadium located on the Duke University campus in Durham, North Carolina, USA, at 110 Frank Bassett Drive. Opened on October 5, 1929, the stadium was designed by Horace Trumbauer and renovated between 2014 and 2017. It has a seating capacity of 35,018 and serves as the home stadium of the Duke Blue Devils football team. The venue has also hosted major events such as the Rose Bowl Game in 1942 and the Pelican Bowl in 1972.
In addition to sports, Wallace Wade Stadium has hosted several notable artists and bands, including The Rolling Stones on October 8, 2005, and Ed Sheeran on September 27, 2024. The highest attendance in the stadium’s history was recorded on November 19, 1949, when 57,500 spectators were present.
