Anora (2024) is an American romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by filmmaker Sean Baker. Starring Mikey Madison, Mark Eydelshteyn, Karren Karagulian, Yura Borisov, Vache Tovmasyan, Aleksei Serebryakov, and Darya Ekamasova, the film had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 21, 2024, and was released in the United States on October 18, 2024.
With a production budget of $6 million, Anora became a major box office success, grossing $30.2 million worldwide. The film received widespread critical acclaim and won five Academy Awards, including "Best Motion Picture of the Year," "Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role," and "Best Original Screenplay."
Filming of Anora took place in Brooklyn, New York City, and Las Vegas. One of the most memorable scenes was shot at the Little White Wedding Chapel (1301 Las Vegas Boulevard South).
