It won the 1994 Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films for "Best Costumes". Hocus Pocus was shot in Salem, Massachusetts, USA. Filming locations included Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, Old Burial Hill Cemetery in Marblehead, and Pioneer Village in Salem. Filming also took place at Walt Disney Studios.
