The English Patient Locations

The English Patient is a British-American romantic war drama movie produced by Saul Zaentz, directed and written by Anthony Minghella, based on the novel of the same name by Michael Ondaatje. Starring Ralph Fiennes, Juliette Binoche, Willem Dafoe, Kristin Scott Thomas, Naveen Andrews, Colin Firth, and Julian Wadham, the film was released on November 15, 1996, grossed $232 million worldwide, won 9 Oscars in 1997 including "Best Picture". A man badly-burned who speaks with an English accent, tells his story to a young nurse during the last months of World War II. The English Patient was shot in Italy and Tunisia. Filming also took place at the Cinecittà Studios in Rome. Filming locations included Basilica di San Francesco d'Assisi and Monastery of S. Anna in Camprena Farm.
