Cooper Landing is a small old town in southern Alaska, north western USA, situated near Highway 1, near Kenai Lake and the Kenai River. It used to be a settlement of those people who came to the area in the early 19th century to look for gold. The town was named after one of the miners who has managed to become rich and supported the residents of the town. In the early 20th century the settlement was connected with the road with the neighboring towns and the city of Anchorage. In our times, there are about 300 people live in Cooper Landing, which is about 100 families. Since the town is situated right near the highway, it attracts tourists and travelers who come to the area to get to know the local lifestyle and enjoy the amazing nature of south Alaska.
