Karachi, Pakistan

One of the largest and most populous cities in the country, Karachi is located in southern Pakistan on the coastline of Sindh province. It is the capital of Sindh, the main port of the country, a global city, and one of the largest ports in the world, as well as the most cosmopolitan city in Pakistan. Karachi is the country’s main financial center, home to numerous modern financial institutions and international banks.

The city hosts Jinnah International Airport, Pakistan’s busiest international and domestic airport; the Port of Karachi, one of South Asia’s largest and busiest ports; and Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, the country’s second-busiest port. Situated on the coast of the Arabian Sea, Karachi serves as a key transportation and tourism hub for the region, offering many attractions and activities.

Mazar-e-Quaid (the Jinnah Mausoleum), built in 1971, is considered an iconic symbol of the city. Hawke’s Bay Beach lies about 20 kilometers southwest of Karachi. Frere Hall, constructed in 1865, is another notable tourist destination. Other places worth visiting include the Karachi Port Trust Building, the Mohatta Palace, the Quaid-e-Azam House Museum, the PAF Museum, Port Grand, LuckyOne Mall, Dolmen Mall Clifton, and Zainab Market.
