Luzon, the Philippines

Luzon is the largest island in the Philippines, with an area exceeding 42,000 square miles (about 109,000 square kilometers). Located in the northern part of the country, Luzon is known for its diverse ecosystems, varied landscapes, fertile agricultural lands, and large population. The island features mountains, plains, rivers, and coastal areas, creating a rich natural environment that supports agriculture and settlement. Other important cities on the island include Tarlac City, Cabanatuan, Santiago, Laoag, and Tuguegarao.

The island is a major center of business, commerce, and government. Its economy includes agriculture, manufacturing, finance, trade, and services. Important products produced in the region include rice, tropical fruits, seafood, and other agricultural goods. Luzon is also a significant tourist destination, offering beaches, mountains, historical landmarks, and cultural attractions.
