Designed by Connor Milligan, opened in 1925, and renovated in 1995, it is one of the largest stadiums in the country. The stadium mostly hosts Scottish international rugby union matches, club matches, association football matches, and music concerts. It is the home ground of The Scotland national rugby union team since 1925. Edinburgh Rugby also plays selected matches at the Murrayfield Stadium. Matches of 1991, 1999, and 2007 Rugby World Cups were held at Murrayfield Stadium. It also hosted Rugby League Challenge Cup Finals in 2000 and 2002.
