Queens is one of the principal boroughs of New York City, located in the eastern United States. With an area of about 178 square miles, Queens is the largest borough of the city by land area. It is situated in the eastern part of NYC, bordering Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx, and it occupies a large portion of Long Island.

Both of New York City’s major airports -John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport- are located in Queens. The southern part of the borough includes numerous small islands and coastal areas and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, particularly around the Rockaway Peninsula and Jamaica Bay.

Queens is famous for its exceptionally diverse, multicultural population and its rich cultural life, as well as many landmarks and tourist attractions found in areas such as Long Island City, Flushing, and Jamaica. The borough is also an important commercial and business center, with many office buildings and business districts spread across these hubs rather than a single downtown core.

There are many beautiful green spaces and city parks throughout the borough, including Gantry Plaza State Park, Hunter’s Point South Park, Juniper Valley Park, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, and the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. Other notable landmarks include the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge, one of the most recognizable structures connecting Queens to Manhattan, along with numerous entertainment venues, cafés, and shopping centers.

Queens is also a popular filming location for movies and TV series, including productions such as The King of Queens, among many others.
