Red Wing is a city in Minnesota, United States, located along the Mississippi River, on the state border with Wisconsin. It serves as the seat of Goodhue County and is part of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area. The Red Wing Bridge, located on the Mississippi River, opened in November 1960 and carries U.S. Route 63. The city is famous for its clay-based industries, especially pottery and stoneware. Pottery production in the city began in 1861 by German immigrant John Paul. The Pottery Museum of Red Wing, located at 240 Harrison Street, features exhibits on the city's clay industry. The city is also home to Riedell Skates, founded in 1945, and Red Wing Shoes, founded by Charles H. Beckman in 1905.

There are numerous points of interest in Red Wing. Red Wing City Hall is a historic building that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Goodhue County Historical Society, located at 1166 Oak Street, is a history museum, known as the oldest county historical society in Minnesota.
