Shishapangma (Xixiabangma) Mount is a beautiful tall peak situated in south western China. It is a part of western Tibet and is one of the tallest mountains in the world, with the elevation estimated to be close to 26,335 feet. Since it is a part of a protected area, there are certain restrictions as to access to the mountain, but those who wanted to climb it usually can receive permissions from the government. The locals call the mountain Gosainthan and the name means "the place of God" or "the place of Saints". The first successful attempt to climb the mountain was undertaken in the early 1960s by a group of Chinese climbers. Despite being known as one of the easiest mountains to climb, Shishapangma took lives of a few famous climbers like Boyan Petrov, Alex Lowe, and their fellow climbers.
