It is located 35 miles south of Buffalo, in the southwestern part of the state. Springville is famous for its historic buildings, such as US Post Office—Springville. Local attractions include Springville Center For-Arts, Gentner Commission Market, East Main-Mechanic Streets Historic District, and Springville Trout Pond. The village was formerly known as "Fiddler's Green", and has a total area of 3.69 sq mi (9.56 km2). It was settled at the beginning of the 19th century.
