Montauk is a beautiful village in New York, USA, located within the town of East Hampton, Suffolk County, about 118 miles from New York City. It is a census-designated place situated at the easternmost tip of Long Island. Montauk is a very popular tourist destination, offering sandy beaches, hotels, restaurants, state parks, and museums, as well as various outdoor activities. The village is home to New York’s first lighthouse and one of the nation’s oldest — the Montauk Point Lighthouse. It is a historic place originally inhabited by the Montaukett people. The Montauk Station and the Montauk Airport serve the area.
Montauk Point Lighthouse
The Montauk Point Lighthouse, located at the easternmost point of New York (41°04'15.7"N 71°51'25.4"W), is an active historic lighthouse listed on the National Register of Historic Places. First lit in 1797 and designed by John McComb Jr., it stands 110.5 ft (33.7 m) tall. It is also designated as a National Historic Landmark and is one of the major tourist attractions in Montauk.
Hither Hills State Park
Hither Hills State Park is a vast state park covering 1,755 acres near Montauk, located at 41°00'50.1"N 72°01'00.1"W. Created in 1924, the park offers campgrounds, hiking trails, and picnic areas, making it a favorite for outdoor enthusiasts.
Montauk Point State Park
Montauk Point State Park is situated at the eastern tip of Long Island in Montauk, at 41°04'18.1"N 71°51'37.9"W. It includes the Montauk Point Lighthouse Museum, the Montauk Lighthouse, a café, a visitor center, and a large parking area. The park covers 862 acres and is open to visitors year-round. The 18-hole golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, attracts both locals and visitors throughout the year.

Ditch Plains Beach is a public beach and a popular surfing spot in Montauk. It is a great destination for swimming, surfing, and enjoying scenic ocean views.
Filming Location for TV Series "The Affair"
