Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac is a small city situated in the southernmost part of the province of Quebec, Canada. It is a small French speaking community situated near Lake Témiscouata and a part of the area known as the Bas-Saint-Laurent. The current city was established only less than a decade ago as a result of a merge of the actual city center and a few smaller settlements situated in the close proximity. Today, the city of Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac is a home to almost 51 hundred people, and since the city is situated quite close to the border between Canada and the US, there is a portion of the residents who speak English as their first language. A old British fort, Fort Ingall, is one of the main attractions of the city, alongside its numerous natural beauties.
