Telangana, India

Telangana is a state of India located in the south-central part of the Indian subcontinent, on the Deccan Plateau. The state is bordered by Maharashtra to the north, Chhattisgarh to the east, and Andhra Pradesh to the south and west. Telangana has an area of about 43,000 square miles, which places it among the largest states of the country.

Telangana is an important center of Telugu culture, which has a long history and continues to develop rapidly after India gained independence. The capital city of the state is Hyderabad, which is also its largest city and main economic hub. The state is a significant agricultural region, with large areas devoted to crops such as rice, cotton, tobacco, and vegetables. Telangana has a rich cultural heritage and preserves many traditional customs and festivals.

Most of the state lies on the Deccan Plateau, located in the central part of the Indian peninsula. The state’s history and landmarks, such as Chowmahalla Palace, the Paigah Tombs, Warangal Fort, the Thousand Pillar Temple, and the Qutb Shahi Tombs, are of great importance to India’s cultural and historical heritage.
