Baraga is a small village in Baraga County, the state of Michigan, USA, situated on the Keweenaw Bay on Lake Superior in the northwestern part of the state. It was founded in 1843 and named after Bishop Frederic Baraga. The village can be reached by U.S. Route 41. It is a small but very nice and quiet rural place with a few tourist attractions, such as Sand Point Lighthouse, Baraga Village Marina, Baraga State Park, Baraga County Historical Museum, and Ojibwa Campground.
