Downtown Cincinnati is the central business district of Cincinnati, Ohio, located along the banks of the Ohio River. It serves as both the city’s economic and cultural hub and is home to many corporate headquarters, banks, restaurants, bars, shops, parks, theaters, galleries, live music venues, and hotels. The district is well connected via U.S. Routes 22 and 50, as well as Interstates 71 and 471. Its boundaries are generally defined by East Central Parkway to the north, Interstate 75 to the west, Plum Street to the northwest, and Eggleston Avenue to the east. Several bridges -including the iconic John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge- connect downtown Cincinnati to Covington and Newport in Kentucky across the Ohio River. 

Among the top attractions, the Taft Museum of Art stands out as a historic house museum and a U.S. National Historic Landmark, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1973. Built in 1820, it features an impressive collection of European paintings by artists such as Joaquin Sorolla, Thomas Gainsborough, Rembrandt van Rijn, and Henry Farny. The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, located at 50 E. Freedom Way, is an interactive museum established in 2004 that explores the history of the Underground Railroad. Smale Riverfront Park along the Ohio River is another attraction, offering peaceful gardens, scenic walking paths, and a playground. Downtown Cincinnati is also home to Paycor Stadium, home of the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals.
