Edgartown is a town in Massachusetts, United States, located at the eastern end of the island of Martha's Vineyard in the southeastern part of the state. It is a popular tourist destination and the seat of Dukes County. The town was settled in 1642 and incorporated on July 8, 1671. It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the south, Oak Bluffs to the north, West Tisbury to the west, and Nantucket Sound to the east. Chappaquiddick Island is also a part of Edgartown. Two ferries (the "On Time II" and "On Time III") and two airports (Katama Airpark and Martha's Vineyard Airport) serve the island.
