The seat of Leflore County, Greenwood is a city in Mississippi, United States, located on the banks of the Yalobusha River and the Yazoo River in the Mississippi Delta. It was named after Chief Greenwood LeFlore and incorporated in 1844. Because of its strategic location, the city quickly became an important point for cotton production in the 19th century.

The city has several points of interest, such as Grand Boulevard, Mississippi Blues Trail – Baptist Town, Mississippi Blues Trail – Blues Deejays, Emmett Till Statue, Whittington Park, and the Museum of the Mississippi Delta. WGRM (1240 AM) in Greenwood aired from 1938 to February 2, 2022. Established by P.K. Ewing, it gained prominence for its live gospel music broadcasts on Sunday afternoons. B.B. King performed on WGRM in the 1940s.

Greenwood was used as a filming location for Mississippi Masala (1991) and The Help (2011).
