Harrison is a small city in Arkansas, USA, located on Crooked Creek, in the northern part of the state and 74 miles east of Fayetteville. It is the seat of Boone County as well as the main city of the Harrison Micropolitan Statistical Area. It is a historic place famous for its downtown and recreation zones. The city was incorporated on March 1, 1876, and named after Marcus LaRue Harrison. It is home to North Arkansas College. Boone County Regional Airport, situated to the northwest of the city, serves the area. U.S. Route 62, U.S. Highway 65, and U.S. Highway 412 also serve the city. Points of interest in Harrison include Equity Bank Sports Complex, Anstaff Soccer Complex, the Harrison Courthouse Square Historic District, the Boone County Jail, Lyric Theater, Hotel Seville, Boone County Heritage Museum, and Boone County Library.
