Vashi is a small commercial city located right between the cities of Thane and Mumbai, in the Indian state of Maharashtra, in the western part of the country. It is one of the hundreds of typical neighborhoods of the huge municipal area formed by the cities of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and others. Vashi is a city which includes mainly a large industrial zone with really numerous small but very heavily populated residential areas and planned communities. It is a center of commerce, with many small representative offices of various commercial and consumer goods distribution companies that are operating there. It can be found less than 3 miles north of Navi Mumbai downtown area and about 10 miles south of Thane city center.

Though Vashi is not considered to be among the main tourist destinations and the main touristy cities of the region, there are a few places of interest and things to see there.
