Young Sherlock is a British action-adventure mystery television series created by Matthew Parkhill, based on the young-adult novels by Andrew Lane and the iconic character created by Arthur Conan Doyle. The series follows a 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes studying at the University of Oxford. When a murder occurs at Oxford and threatens his freedom, he is forced to investigate, leading him to his very first murder case.
The series stars Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Dónal Finn, and Zine Tseng, alongside Joseph Fiennes, Colin Firth, Natascha McElhone, and Max Irons. The show premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 4 March 2026, with Guy Ritchie serving as one of the executive producers.
Filming for Young Sherlock took place in the UK and Spain. Spanish locations included Seville and Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia, while additional scenes were shot in Cardiff, Wales, and Bristol in southwest England.
