Davanagere (ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ), nicknamed Bennenagari, is a large city located at the heart of Karnataka state, India. It is a key commercial and transportation center of the area. The city serves as the administrative headquarters of the Davanagere district. Davanagere has a great number of attractions, and it is loved by tourists and the local population for its natural beauties, including the surrounding hills, green fields, and spectacular sunsets. Local attractions include Glass House, Shri Anjaneya Swamy Temple, and Kunduwada Lake. It is served by Davangere Train Station and National Highway 48. Shivamogga Airport also serves the area. The city is home to several educational institutions, such as GM Institute of Technology and University BDT College of Engineering (UBDT).
