Guymon is a small city in northwestern Oklahoma, United States, located 263 miles northwest of Oklahoma City and 122 miles north of Amarillo, Texas. It is situated close to the borders of Kansas, Texas, and New Mexico and serves as the county seat of Texas County.
U.S. Routes 64 and 412 run through the city, and it is also connected by Oklahoma State Highway 136. Air travel is available via Guymon Municipal Airport. Guymon was incorporated in the early 20th century and experienced rapid growth with the arrival of the railroad. Today, Guymon is an important economic center for the region. Its economy is based on agriculture, manufacturing, oil production, and related industries. The city is also home to Golden Mesa Casino & Hotel, located at 2469 Mile 28 Road.
For outdoor recreation, Thompson Park offers scenic walking paths around a pond and provides a nice setting for spending time with family and friends.
