Hamilton is a city in Ohio, USA, located within Butler County, about 28 miles north of Cincinnati. Situated on the banks of the Great Miami River, the city serves as the county seat and is part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area.

Settled in the 18th century, Hamilton was named after Alexander Hamilton, the first United States Secretary of the Treasury. The city is home to a satellite campus of Miami University, established in 1968, which is one of the university’s three regional campuses.

Hamilton is served by the Hamilton Train Station and U.S. Route 127, providing easy access to nearby towns and cities.
