Passaic, NJ, USA

Passaic is a city in New Jersey, United States, located within Passaic County, on the banks of the Passaic River, and 10 miles north of Newark. It was settled by Dutch immigrants in the 17th century and incorporated on April 2, 1873. The city is home to St. Mary's General Hospital and Passaic County Community College. Passaic is bordered by Clifton to the north, south and west, and Garfield, Rutherford, East Rutherford, and Wallington across the Passaic River to the east. Route 21 passes through the city. The Passaic Rail Station also serves the area. The city has several historic churches and beautiful parks. Local attractions include Christopher Columbus Park, Brighton Asylum, Third Ward Park, and Boverini Stadium.
