Quebec, Canada

The large province of Quebec (Québec in French) is the second most populated province of Canada and is located in the eastern part of the country. It is the largest French-speaking province in Canada and the biggest French-speaking community outside of France. Quebec has a long history dating back to the arrival of European settlers, who established some of the earliest permanent settlements in North America.

Today, Quebec is an important center for natural resource processing, commerce, industry, culture, technology, and science. Tourism also plays a significant role in the province’s economy. Quebec City is the capital of the province and one of the oldest cities in Canada, founded in 1608. It is especially known for its well-preserved historic core.
