Pluribus (stylized as PLUR1BUS) is an American dystopian sci-fi psychological drama television series created by Vince Gilligan, best known for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
In a world where humanity has merged into a hive mind of forced happiness, author Carol Sturka, one of the few immune individuals, must uncover the truth behind the phenomenon and resist being assimilated.
Starring Rhea Seehorn in the lead role, alongside Karolina Wydra and Carlos Manuel Vesga, the series premiered on Apple TV on November 7, 2025, and received highly positive reviews. The first two episodes were written and directed by Vince Gilligan.
Pluribus is set and filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The opening scenes were filmed at the NRAO Very Large Array in the Plains of San Agustin, a renowned radio observatory featuring 25-meter dish antennas. Carol’s house and its surroundings were built as a temporary set in West Mesa, west of Albuquerque. The book signing scene was filmed at the Barnes & Noble store in Coronado Center. The CNM Rio Rancho Campus, a community college in Rio Rancho, served as the location for the military lab.
