East Liverpool, also known as the Pottery Capital of the World and the Crockery City, is a city in eastern Ohio, USA, located within Columbiana County on the banks of the Ohio River on the state border with West Virginia. The city is among the most important centers of the U.S. pottery industry, which was established by James Bennett in 1839. It was founded at the beginning of the 19th century and named after Liverpool, England. East Liverpool is located 40 miles northwest of Pittsburgh and 107 miles southeast of Cleveland, at the latitude and longitude of 40.6271626, -80.5801367. The city is home to Kent State University at East Liverpool. It is served by U.S. Route 30 and State Routes 39 and 267.

- The Carnegie Public Library, located at 219 East Fourth Street, was founded on May 8, 1902.
