Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India

Thiruvananthapuram, also known as Trivandrum, is a large, beautiful seaside city located in southwestern India and the capital of Kerala. The city lies in the southernmost part of the country and is built on seven hills. It is considered a relatively new city, developed on the site of a small historic commercial town.

Trivandrum features many modern residential districts, beaches, and a wide range of traditional and modern social services. It is an important academic, research, and technology hub in the region and is home to institutions such as APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), the National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST), and the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC).
