Truth or Consequences, nicknamed "T or C", is a city in New Mexico, United States, located within Sierra County on the Rio Grande. It serves as the county seat. Formerly known as Hot Springs, the city was named after the American game show created by Ralph Edwards and hosted on NBC. The city is known for its hot springs. It is served by Truth or Consequences Municipal Airport, Interstate 25, and State Road 51. The city is bordered by Elephant Butte to the east and Williamsburg to the south. Elephant Butte Lake State Park is situated less than 4 miles from the city. Local attractions include the Geronimo Springs Museum and Rotary Park, as well as numerous hotels offering hot springs and spa services.
