It was released on September 14, 2006, in Germany, grossed $135 million worldwide, won many awards and nominations. Perfume: The Story of a Murderer was shot in different countries such as Catalonia, France, Netherlands, and Germany. Filming also took place at Bavaria Studios in Munich.
