Starring Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, William Sadler, Joss Ackland, Pam Grier, George Carlin, Amy Stoch, and Jim Martin, the film is the second one of the Bill & Ted series, as well as a sequel to Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure in 1989. It was released on July 19, 1991, in the United States, grossed $38 million worldwide, won the 1992 Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films for "Best Supporting Actor" (William Sadler). Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey was shot in Santa Clarita and Los Angeles, California, USA. Filming locations included Donald C Tillman Water Reclamation Plant, Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park, and San Fernando Valley. Filming also took place at the Santa Clarita Studios.
