Hotel Rwanda is a historical biographical drama movie directed by Terry George, written by Keir Pearson and Terry George. Starring Don Cheadle, Sophie Okonedo, Joaquin Phoenix, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Nick Nolte, Fana Mokoena, Antonio David Lyons, and Leleti Khumalo, the film tells the story of Paul Rusesabagina who was a hotel manager and saved the lives of more than a thousand refugees during the Rwandan genocide in 1994. It was released on 4 February 2005 in the United States, grossed $33.9 million worldwide, nominated for three Oscars including "Best Writing, Original Screenplay".
