The film also received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song for “Lost Stars.”
Plot Summary
A disgraced record label executive, Dan, discovers Gretta, a singer-songwriter, performing in a club. The two collaborate to produce her first album, recording each track in various public locations across New York City.
Filming Locations
Begin Again was filmed in New York City in July 2012, primarily in Manhattan. Notable filming locations include Broad Street Subway Station, East River Greenway, Vazacs, Times Square, and Washington Square Park. Scenes for Dave’s concert in New York took place at the Gramercy Theatre in Manhattan. The famous rooftop scene was filmed at 28 West 36th Street.
