Starring Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Jack Black, Eli Wallach, Edward Burns, John Krasinski, and Rufus Sewell, the film follows two women, Iris and Amanda, troubled with guy-problems swap homes in each other's countries during the Christmas and holiday season. The film premiered in New York City on November 29, 2006, grossed $205.1 million worldwide. The score of the film was composed by Hans Zimmer. The Holiday was filmed in Los Angeles, and at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City. Filming also took place in Godalming and Shere, England.
