Dune is an adventure drama sci-fi movie directed by Denis Villeneuve, with a captivating score by Hans Zimmer. The film is written by Eric Roth, Jon Spaihts, and Villeneuve, and is based on the iconic 1965 novel Dune by Frank Herbert. Starring Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgård, Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Charlotte Rampling, Javier Bardem, and Jason Momoa, the film is a co-production between the United Kingdom, United States, Hungary, and Canada. 

Dune premiered at the Venice Film Festival on September 3, 2021, and was released in the United States on October 22, 2021. The film was a major success, winning 6 Academy Awards, including Best Achievement in Visual Effects and Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Score). 

Filming for Dune took place in various countries, including Hungary, Jordan (Wadi Rum), Slovakia, Norway, the United Arab Emirates, and Austria. Stad, Norway, was used to depict the planet Caladan. The film also used the Origo Film Studios in Budapest to bring the breathtaking world of Dune to life.
