Starring Paul Giamatti, Thomas Haden Church, Virginia Madsen, Sandra Oh, Marylouise Burke, and Jessica Hecht, the film follows two men in their forties, Miles and Jack, who embark on a week-long road trip through California's wine country to celebrate Jack's upcoming wedding. The film was released on October 22, 2004 (United States), earned $109.7 million worldwide, and won the 2005 Academy Award for "Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay".
