The Fly Locations

The Fly is a 1986 American sci-fi horror drama movie directed by David Cronenberg, written by Cronenberg and Charles Edward Pogue, produced by Brooksfilms and distributed by 20th Century Fox. The film stars Jeff Goldblum, Geena Davis, John Getz, Joy Boushel, and Leslie Carlson. It was loosely based on George Langelaan's 1957 short story of the same name. It was released on August 15, 1986, grossed $60.6 million worldwide, won 1987 Academy Awards for "Best Makeup" and became the largest commercial success of Cronenberg's career. A sequel to the film, directed by Walas, was released in 1989. The Fly was filmed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
