The Karate Kid Locations

The Karate Kid is an American martial arts action-drama film written by Robert Mark Kamen, directed by John G. Avildsen. Starring Ralph Macchio, Pat Morita, Elisabeth Shue, the film was released in June 1984 and grossed over $91 million worldwide. Daniel and his mother move to California. But he is bullied by a group of karate students. And the Japanese landlord, Miyagi starts to teach Daniel karate. The film was nominated Academy Awards for "Best Actor in a Supporting Role", received acclaim from critics and viewers. The score of the movie was composed by Bill Conti. The Karate Kid was filmed in Calabasas, Malibu, Woodlands Hills, and Los Angeles, California; Phoenix, Oak Creek Canyon, and Sedona, Arizona. Mr. Miyagi's house (now demolished) was located at 20924 Gault St, Canoga Park, Los Angeles.
