Interview with the Vampire is an American gothic horror drama film directed by Neil Jordan, written by Anne Rice, and based on Rice's novel of the same title. Starring Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Antonio Banderas, Thandie Newton, Kirsten Dunst, and Stephen Rea, the film follows the story of vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac. It was released on November 11, 1994, grossed $223.7 million worldwide and was nominated for two Oscars in 1995.
Interview with the Vampire was shot in Destrehan, Shreveport, Vacherie, and New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Filming locations included Palais-Royal and Palais Garnier in Paris, Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Marble Hill Park in Surrey, and St Paul's Church in London. Oak Alley Plantation was used for Louis de Pointe du Lac Estate in the film.
